A Hot Toddy could be the classic cold weather drink. Many even claim that if the cold bug has hit you, a Hot Toddy has magical medicinal powers to make you feel good again (I think by magic they mean liquor). Regardless of why or when you drink it, this recipe is easy to make and will always thoroughly warm you up on a chilly day.
2 ounces Maker’s Mark 46 (or use bourbon, whiskey, scotch, or rum)
1 slice of lemon
5-10 whole cloves
1 sugar cube
1 cinnamon stick
5 ounces boiling water
• Pierce the lemon with the cloves and add it to a tea cup or coffee mug
• Add a stick of cinnamon and a cube of sugar
• Add the Maker’s Mark, then the boiling water
• Serve once the beverage has cooled enough to drink
